Short version: Torq keeps your garage on your phone. We don’t run accounts, analytics, or ads. Here’s the longer version.
Torq (App Store name: Torq Garage Tool) is a vehicle maintenance tracking app for iOS. This policy explains how Torq handles information when you use the app.
Torq stores the information you enter so the app can work. That may include:
This data is stored on your device only using on-device storage (such as SQLite and SharedPreferences). Torq does not require an account and does not upload your garage to our servers.
Torq Pro is a one-time In-App Purchase processed by Apple. Payment details are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Torq receives purchase status from StoreKit so the app can unlock Pro features and support Restore Purchase. We do not receive or store your full payment card information.
Torq does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites and does not use your data for targeted advertising.
If you use Pro features such as CSV export or copying a mechanic report, that content is prepared on your device for you to copy or share through the system share sheet. Those actions are under your control.
Your data remains on your device until you delete a vehicle, clear app data, or delete the app. Uninstalling Torq removes on-device app data subject to iOS behavior.
Torq is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy if the app’s practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
